Information Morocco about your skydive holiday
Great that you’re taking this trip to Morocco with us! In this Morocco information, we share everything you need to know to make the most of your adventure. We believe this exciting journey will inspire you and leave an unforgettable impression.
After a flight of about four hours from Schiphol, you’ll land in Casablanca, where you’ll be picked up for a transfer to Beni Mellal.
Morocco is a warm, safe, and hospitable country where respect for local culture is very important. Be mindful of customs and dress respectfully. Avoid displaying valuables unnecessarily, such as jewelry, electronics, and cash.
You’ll see that the local population, despite often modest circumstances, embraces joy and respect for each other and their traditions. During your trip, you’ll likely encounter street vendors; a friendly attitude and openness can lead to memorable interactions.
Travel Documents
You need a passport that is valid for at least six months upon departure from Morocco. A visa is not required.
Currency
The official currency in Morocco is the Moroccan dirham (MAD), but the euro is also accepted in some places. In Beni Mellal, where you’ll be staying, ATMs are not widely available. If you need cash, it’s best to withdraw money at Casablanca airport or in a larger city along the way. Withdraw around €300 to €400 to have sufficient cash on hand.
In the hotel, payment with a bank card is possible.
Calling from Morocco
If you want to contact home from Morocco, it’s advisable not to use your mobile phone, as this can be quite expensive. For just a few euros, you can buy a SIM card with some credit at Casablanca airport.
eSIM
An alternative is to activate an eSIM in advance via an app. An eSIM is an embedded SIM card available on devices that support eSIM. It offers a smarter and more convenient way to stay connected, as you can download data packages directly to your phone.
Time in Senegal
There is no time difference between the Netherlands and Morocco.
Vaccination
Vaccination is not required for Morocco. It’s not mandatory to show a vaccination certificate to enter the country. However, we recommend certain vaccinations depending on your personal situation, such as health and length of stay.
Lip Balm
The dry air in Morocco causes moisture in the skin to evaporate more easily. The solution is simple, use a lip balm!
Sweater
In Morocco, it can be cool in the mornings and evenings, while pleasantly warm during the day. Be sure to bring light clothing, but don’t forget a sweater or hoodie for the cooler mornings and evenings.
