Skydiving training costs: practising emergency procedures during the theory day
Practising emergency procedures during the theory day is a fixed step in your AFF.

Why the price is about more than money

Skydiving feels big. Technically it’s very learnable. Mentally, you take a real step. That’s why you don’t just look at the amount, but at safety, coaching and the effect on you. This page explains how skydiving costs are built up and what you get in return.

What a skydiving course costs at Airboss

Our Accelerated Freefall (AFF) starts at €1,395. That includes a theory day, use of full equipment and six coached jumps from 4,000 metres with personal coaching.

How the costs are built up

  • Aircraft time and maintenance for a reliable aircraft and sufficient lift capacity.
  • Professional, inspected gear (main system, reserve, AAD) with servicing and inspections.
  • Certified instructors for prep, jumps, debrief and progress planning.
  • Video & feedback analysis to learn faster and safer.
  • Organisation and location for planning, briefing rooms and dropzone infrastructure.

Airboss is affiliated with the Royal Dutch Aeronautical Association (KNVvL) and operates under strict regulations. Safety is the foundation.

What’s included

  • 6 coached jumps from 4,000 metres
  • Theory day covering emergency procedures, mindset and technique
  • Use of full equipment (parachute, helmet, altimeter, jumpsuit)
  • Personal coaching by experienced instructors
  • Video & feedback analysis with every course
  • Globally recognised AFF licence

What’s not included

Note: this differs per location.

  • France: travel and accommodation are optional add-ons (you can also arrange them yourself).
  • Morocco: organised trip — travel, accommodation, meals, local transport and the course are bundled in one package.
  • Media (optional afterwards): every student is filmed by default; you can purchase your video afterwards.
  • Repeat jumps if you need to redo a level
  • Personal insurance (see our insurance information)

From AFF to A-licence (if you want)

For many people, the AFF course is exactly what they want: one intensive week, a unique experience and a story you’ll keep. That’s perfectly fine.

If you want to keep jumping independently after AFF, the next step is the A-licence. You need at least 25 jumps for this licence; with AFF you’ve already completed part of them.

How to look at time, pace and cost

A follow-up week is not necessarily cheaper per jump. What it often offers is efficiency:

  • You make many jumps in a short time with targeted coaching — more consistent learning and keeping your momentum.
  • You bundle travel & accommodation in one period; side costs (several separate trips) can be lower.
  • Simpler planning: fixed team, clear goals and many lift opportunities in one block.

Whether that’s financially better for you depends on your situation (travel distance, number of separate weekends, gear rental, work/schedule). Choose what fits your goal and joy.

Learn to skydive on holiday

Pick the setup that fits you:

  • France — flexible “holiday + course”: your base is the course; travel & accommodation can be booked optionally via us or arranged yourself.
  • Morocco — carefree package trip: travel, accommodation, meals, local transport and the course bundled.

See details and current availability on the pages for France and Morocco.
