AFF or Airwareness – How to choose the course that’s right for you
The bottom line:
Learning to skydive is an adventure — but which course is the best fit for you? At Airboss, we offer two great options: the AFF course and the Airwareness + A license program. You don’t need any experience for either! This page explains the difference so you can make the choice that suits you best.
AFF – The first step to solo skydiving
The AFF course (Accelerated Freefall) is the ideal way for beginners to learn to skydive independently. You start with 6 jumps under the guidance of experienced instructors and learn all the basic principles of skydiving. After these first jumps, you’ll continue with your first solo jump. The result is a globally recognized license, allowing you to skydive anywhere in the world.
The AFF course takes one week and is intensive but perfect if you want to quickly learn to jump on your own.

Perfect for you if you:
- Have never jumped before but want to learn to jump independently.
- Want to experience the freedom of solo skydiving.
- Are looking for a short, intensive course.
Airwareness + A license – The complete package
Want to take your skydiving skills further? Then choose the Airwareness + A license program. This course starts with the AFF course and then builds up with 25 jumps. After earning your A license, you’re certified to skydive independently, with more experience and confidence.
The Airwareness + A license program lasts two weeks and offers you the chance to deepen and refine your skills.
Choose this option if you:
- Want to take the first step (AFF) and continue developing further.
- Want to build real experience with multiple jumps.
- Are ready for an intensive and complete learning experience.
Learn to skydive with a vacation vibe
At Airboss, learning to skydive isn’t just about jumping — it’s about experiencing the full skydiving lifestyle. Whether you choose the AFF course or the Airwareness + A license program, you can train at two fantastic locations: France in the summer or Morocco in the winter season.
In Royan, you’ll skydive close to the Atlantic Ocean, enjoying a relaxed and adventurous atmosphere. You’ll build your skills while soaking up the scenery, great vibes, and a lively skydiving community.
In Morocco, you’ll train under the sun at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. It’s a unique place to challenge yourself physically and mentally — and to experience the culture, nature, and freedom between jumps.
Imagine: a morning full of skydives followed by an afternoon relaxing on the beach or sharing stories over dinner with other skydivers. Every jump makes the experience even more unforgettable.
Whichever course you choose, the perfect setting awaits you
Whether you go for the AFF course or the Airwareness + A license, both Royan and Morocco offer you the ideal environment to learn, grow, and enjoy every moment.
