AFF course

Why an AFF Course Will Change Your Life – and Why You Should Do It with Airboss

The bottom line:
Learning to skydive isn’t just about technical skills. During the AFF course with Airboss, you’ll discover not only the freedom of freefall but also new parts of yourself. From your first steps on the ground to your first solo jump – every skydive is a victory over yourself and a memory for life.

What is an AFF course?

The Accelerated Freefall – or AFF – is the ultimate way to learn to skydive solo.
From your very first jump, you exit the plane yourself, with two instructors flying next to you.

During the course, you’ll learn:

  • How to stay stable in freefall
  • How to open your parachute yourself
  • How to turn and control movement on all axes
  • How to safely navigate and land your parachute

Over 7 days, you’ll complete six coached jumps from 4200 meters, followed by your first solo skydive.
Pass the course, and you’ll receive a globally recognized skydiving license.

Want to get used to the feeling of freefall without jumping from a plane right away?
Consider a session in a wind tunnel.
You’ll experience the same air pressure and flight sensation – perfect to train your coordination and body awareness before starting your AFF.

Why choose Airboss?

You won’t find conveyor belt training here – just real connection and full focus on your progress.

5 things you don’t expect

Your first real jump – 4200 meters above the ground, guided by professionals, ready to grow.

1. You’ll be calmer than you think

At 4200 meters, you might expect panic. But when the door opens, you feel focus.
Your body is ready, your mind is clear. And then – you jump.

2. Freefall doesn’t feel like falling

No rollercoaster drop. No stomach flip.
It feels like flying on a cushion of air – an indescribable sensation.

Frequently asked questions about AFF

Can I breathe normally?

Absolutely. Just like on the ground. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Easy.

Does the ground rush toward you quickly?

Not at all. We jump from so high that you won’t experience ‘ground rush’. You have plenty of time to enjoy the view.

Is it cold up there?

At jump altitude, it’s usually 15 to 20 degrees cooler than on the ground. But you’ll hardly notice – you’ll be far too focused on the moment.
And to be honest: in our locations, the weather is often so good that even up there, it still feels great.

3. You grow mentally with every jump

Every time you jump, you build confidence.
You learn to handle pressure and discover how powerful focus can be.
That growth stays with you – not just in the sky, but in everyday life.

4. Your group becomes a team

You learn together. You laugh together. You grow together.
The bond that forms is genuine and unforgettable.

5. You feel bigger than your fear

Your first solo jump comes – and suddenly you know: “I can do this.”
That trust sticks with you. Not just in the air, but everywhere.
