With your instructors next to you, you really jump by yourself for the first time, 4200 meters above the ground, ready to grow.

Core idea:
Learning to skydive is about much more than technique. During the AFF course with Airboss you do not only discover the freedom of freefall, you also discover new sides of yourself. From the first step on the ground to your first solo jump, every skydive is a victory over yourself and a memory for life.

tl;dr:

  • The AFF course is the way to learn to skydive independently, with intensive coaching.
  • You jump at beautiful locations in France or Morocco, with a personal and relaxed approach.
  • Every jump helps you grow, mentally stronger, more confident and ready for more.

What is an AFF course?

Accelerated Freefall, or AFF for short, is the way to learn how to skydive independently.
From your very first jump you leave the aircraft yourself, with two instructors flying next to you.

During the course you learn, among other things:

  • How to stay stable in freefall
  • How to deploy your own parachute
  • How to turn around the different axes
  • How to navigate and land safely with your parachute

In one week you make six coached jumps from 4200 meters, followed by your first solo jump.
When you pass, you complete your AFF course and receive an AFF certificate that is recognised worldwide as an entry level in the sport. After that you build towards your A licence, usually around 25 jumps in total.

Do you want to get used to the feeling of freefall without immediately jumping from an aircraft?
Then consider a session in a wind tunnel.
You experience the same airflow as during a real jump, which is ideal to train your coordination and stability before you start your AFF.

Why choose Airboss?

At Airboss skydiving is not only about making jumps, but about the whole experience.
You train at dream locations such as:

  • France, on the Atlantic coast near Royan
  • Morocco, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains

The atmosphere is relaxed, the coaching is intensive and the approach is personal.
You are not jumping in a student factory, but in a group where everyone matters.

5 things you do not expect

1. You are calmer than you think

At 4200 meters you expect panic. But as soon as the door opens, you mainly feel focus.
Your body is ready, your head is clear. And then you jump.

2. Freefall does not feel like falling

No rollercoaster feeling and no stomach dropping away.
It feels like lying on the air, a sensation you do not find anywhere else.

3. You grow mentally with every jump

Every time you jump, you build confidence.
You learn to deal with tension and you experience how powerful focus can be.
That is why you take something from every skydive that also makes you stronger on the ground.

4. Your group feels like a team

You learn together. You laugh together. And you grow together.
The bond that is created is genuine, meaningful and stays with you for a long time.

5. You feel bigger than your fear

You make your first solo jump and suddenly you know: I can do this.
You take that confidence with you, not only while jumping, but also in everyday life.

Frequently asked questions about the AFF course

A few questions that almost everyone has before their first jump:

Can I breathe normally?
Yes. Just like on the ground you can simply breathe. In through your nose, out through your mouth. That is all.

Does the ground rush towards me quickly?
No. We fly so high that you do not experience an extreme ground rush. You have plenty of time to check your altitude, do your practice moves and enjoy the view.

Is it cold up there?
At exit altitude it is about 15 to 20 degrees colder than on the ground. In practice you usually notice very little of that. When the door opens there are other things that ask for your attention than the temperature.
And at our locations the weather is often so good that even at altitude it still feels comfortable enough to really enjoy your jump.
