Learn to Skydive with Airboss – a Unique Skydiving Vacation
Third freefall jump by a student during the Airboss AFF course, on the Atlantic coast.
Do you want to learn how to skydive and are looking for a skydiving course where you jump right away? For years, beginners in the Netherlands often started with a Static Line course. That’s a jump where the parachute opens automatically via a line attached to the aircraft. Today, almost everyone chooses the modern AFF course (Accelerated Freefall): a beginner skydiving course where you make 7 freefall jumps of about 55 seconds each.
This course gets you seriously started with skydiving – and we don’t do it in the Netherlands, but in sunny locations in Southern Europe or North Africa! We begin with extensive ground training covering essential techniques and safety procedures. Only when you’re fully prepared, we go up in the air. At 4 kilometers altitude, you make your first freefall jump with two instructors by your side. In total, you’ll make 7 jumps during the course – one of which is free. After your sixth jump, you go solo and receive an internationally recognized AFF certificate. It’s the fastest and safest way to learn to skydive.

Combine a skydiving course with a holiday
There are several places in the Netherlands where you can learn to skydive. But why not combine your training with a real holiday vibe? With Airboss, you get the chance to learn to skydive in special locations with great weather and a relaxed atmosphere. In the winter, we go to Morocco, at the foot of the stunning Atlas Mountains. In summer, we jump in Royan, a lively seaside town on France’s Atlantic coast.
Learn to skydive in a unique way
What makes this course so special is the combination of skydiving and traveling. You learn to skydive in a unique way while enjoying a relaxed holiday atmosphere. From your very first jump, you’ll feel the thrill of falling, and once under your parachute, you’ll take in the view. You’ll also bond with others taking on the same adventure. You’ll stay together in our accommodation with plenty of time for relaxation, local outings, and fun evenings.
The course begins with ground training. In half a day, you’ll learn the essentials: stable body position during freefall, altitude awareness, emergency procedures, and how to open your main parachute correctly. You’ll also practice canopy control and landing techniques.
1
First skydive
Together with two instructors, you jump from 4200 meters. They’ll guide your entire freefall. It lasts about one minute. Each jump is analyzed with video footage for feedback and technique correction.
2
Second skydive
If your first jump went well, your second is with one instructor. The program is the same as the first, but now you focus on refining the feedback from your first debrief.
3
Third skydive
This time, you learn to turn left and right (360 degrees) on command – this is called heading control.
4
Fourth skydive
Many participants call this their favorite jump: after exiting the plane, you perform three front flips, followed by controlled 360-degree turns to both sides.
5
Fifth skydive
It just keeps getting better. You’ll learn to fly on your back and do both forward and backward flips. You’ll also perform a “track” – fast forward flying.
6
Sixth skydive
Final exam jump! This is your chance to demonstrate everything you’ve learned. If you pass, you’re cleared to jump solo. Yeah!
