A-License
Download here all the information you need to know for the A-License. The requirements for the A-License consist of a theory exam and a number of practical requirements. For the theoretical exam you have to master the learning objectives for the A-License. The practical requirements are as follows:
- Controlling free-fall stability requirements. With this you show that you are able to fall stably and to return to the stable posture from an unstable position. This position must be well controlled in order to fall safely and open the parachute.
- Five formation instruction jumps. These are jumps where an experienced jumper learns the novice jumper to jump with several people. The focus here is on safe jumping with other people.
- At least 25 free fall jumps.
- At least 15 minutes of free fall time.
- Ten jumps with a landing within 15 meters of the designated landing point.
- Control the ‘spotting’. This is determining the point at which the jumpers must step out. Here you have to be aware of the strength of the wind and the direction of the wind.
- Being able to fold the main parachute independently.
- Five jumps, fully dedicated to canopy control. These are jumps that you make to better control and fly your parachute, so that you can land safely and softly. You can download the course material for the A-License from the handbook sports parachutist and the BVR and BR.
