Result
If you already meet all the requirements, you may be able to earn your A licence during this week. If you are still missing jumps or specific elements, this week brings you as close as possible.
When can you earn your A licence during this week?
That depends on your starting point. During Airboss Academy, you make 10 planned jumps: 5 solo jumps and 5 formation jumps.
If your previous jumps have already given you enough experience and you meet the other requirements, you may be able to earn your A licence during this week.
If you have not yet reached the required minimum of 25 freefall jumps, you can make extra jumps to complete your licence.
This is how it works in real life
After every landing, we go straight into a video debrief: what went well, what your focus point is for the next jump, and which steps we take next.
What do you need to be able to do for your A licence?
For the A licence, you show that you can function safely and independently on the dropzone. That includes taking part safely in formation jumps, packing your parachute independently, knowing the theory and landing under different conditions with control.

Skydiving with a holiday feeling
At Airboss, you combine focused training with a relaxed atmosphere. During the day, you work on your skills and your goals. Afterwards, there is time to eat together, catch up and enjoy the surroundings.
That holiday feeling helps: you relax faster, you learn faster, and you make memories with people who understand exactly why you are doing this.
Who runs the programme?
Since 2004, Airboss has guided people who want to learn to skydive at exceptional locations outside the Netherlands.
Every year, around 80 participants follow a training or progression programme with us, and by now we have trained more than 1000 students.
You are coached by certified instructors who work every day with AFF, A licence programmes and personal coaching.
Airboss is affiliated with the KNVvL (Dutch Parachuting Association) and we train within fixed procedures based on KNVvL standards, with clear video debriefs after every jump.
Safety at a glance
- Every rig has a main and reserve parachute
- Equipment with an Automatic Activation Device (AAD) as an extra safety layer
- You train and repeat emergency procedures, so you know exactly what to do

Experience of an Airboss Academy participant
“I went to France for the second time to earn my A licence with Airboss. What a week. A relaxed atmosphere combined with good coaching, and safety always comes first. After a long day of jumping, a beer by the barbecue. I will definitely be back.”
Wouter, Airboss Academy participant

Personal A-License Plan
We start with a personal plan, tailored to your level and jump experience. Together we map out what you still need for your A-license and how we’re going to tackle it in the smartest way during your week.
Need Formation Skydives? No problem, we’ll jump with you. Never packed your own parachute? We’ll teach you step by step. This way you know exactly where you stand, what the route is, and what you’ll be training in each part.
Formation Skydiving
In 5 jumps you’ll learn the basics of Formation Skydiving. You’ll train safe approaches, controlled stopping, taking grips, holding levels, and most importantly: awareness and discipline.
The goal isn’t “just joining in”, it’s understanding what you’re doing and why. So you can build further with more calm and confidence in your jumps.
Canopy Control
Across 5 Canopy Control jumps you’ll learn to really fly your parachute. Same as in any flight phase: control, insight, and safety. Think a clean pattern, predictable flying in traffic, reading the wind, flare timing, and better landings.
This is often the part where people suddenly realize how much progress is possible under canopy. And you feel that immediately in your confidence.
Hop and Pop
On a Hop and Pop you exit at 1,200 meters and deploy after a few seconds. This jump is perfect to sharpen your exit and deployment routine, and to get extra time under canopy for focused training.
Calm, structured, and technically valuable.
Parachute Packing
You’ll learn to pack your parachute independently with clear, practical instructions. Not only because it’s a requirement, but because it helps you understand your equipment better.
It builds trust, makes you more independent, and you simply become a more complete skydiver.
Theory Exam
For your A-license you need basic knowledge of regulations, equipment, meteorology, and general skydiving principles. You’ll get the study materials and we plan moments to go through questions and scenarios together.
At the end of the week you take the theory exam.
Extra Jumps
Want to do extra jumps after your training? You can. You pay per jump and you’re free to jump for routine, training, or simply to build numbers.
We’ll help you choose what makes the most sense at that point: more coaching, more repetition, or a new focus point.
Ready to start?
Choose your location and check the program, dates, and options. In France you arrange accommodation the way you like.
In Morocco you can choose a complete package, so you can fully focus on your training.

Big shout-out to Rod, teaching me the good stuff!
